Students should be able to break down familiar, multistep tasks into smaller, ordered steps, focusing on sequencing and logical thinking. For example, when preparing to walk in the hallway, students could identify the steps as: (1) quietly stand up and push in your chair, (2) walk to your spot in line, and (3) face forward with hands to yourself.
Students are not expected to work with abstract problems or create algorithms involving conditional logic (if/then). Students are not required to use a programming language. |
